Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I've noticed that when I play an avi file in MPC that has japanese characters in the filename, I get the error about there being either no player open or no file loaded, and yet any file with just english characters will display fine.

Any solutions to this yet? Does that comserver thing also apply to MPC in some way?

Nope, it doesnt.

GTSdll currently isn't able to open files that were saved on a different locale setting than the OS is currently set to (at least, if the filename contains special characters, like kanji).
